The Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) and Toronto Hydro have marked a key milestone in the city’s drive toward electric mobility by activating the 500th public electric vehicle charging station within Canada’s largest municipally owned network. The new station, located at Green P Carpark 504 on Willingdon Blvd., boosts charging access across Toronto.
Since forming a partnership in 2020, Toronto Hydro and the TPA have worked to expand the city’s EV charging infrastructure. Toronto Hydro launched the initial lineup of chargers and officially transferred the network’s ownership to the TPA in 2023.
“Reaching 500 energized EV charging stations is a testament to what strong partnerships can achieve,” said Jana Mosley, President & CEO of Toronto Hydro.
“Our mission is clear: to create a seamless mobility experience that delivers on Choice, Ease, and Speed for our customers,” stated TPA President Scott Collier.
The milestone highlights the growing public and private collaboration behind Toronto’s vision for a cleaner, more connected transportation system. Both organizations plan to continue expanding access to EV infrastructure across the city in coming years.
