Glenn Close on Avoiding Repetition in Her Roles

Glenn Close said, “I don't want to repeat myself because I think I'd be really bored.” Despite the many iconic women involved in Ryan Murphy’s projects, it is surprising that Close had not participated until now. This changed with Hulu’s All’s Fair.

Joining All’s Fair

Close shared, “I was intimidated until I started to understand the tone. And once I understood the tone, then it became really fun.” She plays Dina, a powerful lawyer in an all-female firm with co-stars including Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Naomi Watts.

“To bring all that energy...and all that experience together is bound to create something really unique.”

The project also fostered strong bonds among the cast. Close said, “This group of women, they’ll be my friends for the rest of my life.”

Career Choices and Upcoming Projects

Close keeps working by embracing new challenges, stating, “I’m basically up for anything as long as it represents a new exploration.” She will soon appear in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, released the same week as All’s Fair.

“I got two Ryans in the same week. It was like, what?”
