Annual Democracy Conference in Prague
The 29th Forum 2000 conference has begun in Prague, Czech Republic, where defenders of democracy will engage in discussions on the state of democracy and growing authoritarianism worldwide.
Hundreds of government officials, civil society actors, and human rights defenders have gathered for the two-day conference to address challenges facing democracies globally, including rising authoritarianism, disinformation, and technological advancements.
These issues are particularly relevant in many African countries, where commitments to democracy are being challenged.
AMH is an independent media house free from political ties or outside influence.
The conference will run from October 13-14, featuring thought-provoking discussions on the state of democracy.
