Jessica Simpson made a striking comeback to acting after 15 years, appearing in Hulu's new legal drama, All’s Fair. The singer and fashion designer takes on the role of Lee-Anne, a woman seeking legal help from Kim Kardashian’s character, Allura Grant, following a botched plastic surgery.
On set, Simpson sported a dramatically altered look featuring exaggerated cheeks, full lips, and a distorted nose through prosthetics. She shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram video showing the transformation process, joking about her appearance:
“I mean, this face.”
She added, “Introducing this ultimate badass with a heart of gold. It took an incredible village (and six hours in prosthetics!) to bring her to life for @hulu’s #AllsFair and wow… what a ride.”
In episode three, Lee-Anne reveals the reason behind her surgery:
“We’ve been married almost three years. I knew he had had one affair — probably more. So when he had told me to get plastic surgery, I couldn’t say no.”
After years away from acting, Simpson was pleasantly surprised by her own performance. She told ETonline during the series premiere,
“I didn’t even know that I could do it.”
This role marks a significant milestone as Simpson reenters the acting scene with a unique and challenging character.
