The highly anticipated album Lux by Catalan singer Rosalía was leaked online two days before its scheduled release on Friday. According to Catalan News, all 18 tracks were shared across social media on Tuesday night, quickly spreading among fans.
The songs were already accessible by 11 p.m. on Tuesday, confirmed by Catalan News. This leak occurred shortly after a separate incident earlier that day involving Rosalía’s single Reliquia, which was briefly published and then removed from Spotify within hours.
“Reliquia” explores themes of love and heartbreak and is performed in Spanish.
In a previous interview with The New York Times, Rosalía mentioned that Lux features songs in thirteen different languages. Reliquia was the second track released ahead of the leak, following Berghain. The official release is set for November 7, with several listening events planned beforehand, including an exclusive one in Barcelona on Wednesday evening.
The premature leak of Rosalía’s multilingual album Lux two days before launch ignited online buzz and concerns over digital security.
