Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

Temporary route changes will affect some bus services on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025. The listed parades are those reported to NCT, though brief impacts on other services may occur.

Observance at 11am on 9th and 11th November

At 11am on both Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will observe two minutes of silence. Where safe, they will park buses and switch off engines, inviting passengers to join in the national remembrance.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel

NCT offers free travel from 8th to 11th November 2025 inclusive for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. To qualify, show appropriate ID or travel in uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Service Diversions on Sunday 9th November

Nottingham Road, Church Drive, and Sir John Robinson Way will be closed from 09:00 to 12:00. During this time, Lilac 25 and Lime 58 services will be diverted.

Calverton Parade and Bus Stop Impacts

In Calverton, a parade on 9th November between 09:00 and 12:00 will affect Sky Blue 61. The following stops will not be served:

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will be closed on Sunday 9th November from 10:30 to 11:45. South Notts 1 service will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road during this time.

At 11am (on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th), bus drivers will observe the 2 minutes silence and will, where safe to do so, park their buses and turn off their engines and the company invites you to join them in national remembrance.
