Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou, 37, who collaborated with actor Jeremy Renner, 54, on a documentary and an animated film, has alleged that he sent her intimate photos and explicit videos while attempting to pursue her romantically. She also claimed he went on drunken tirades that left her fearing for her safety.
According to Zhou, she shared her story in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail and on Instagram, detailing several disturbing incidents that occurred during their professional partnership.
"I was discussing the documentary’s logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and became very angry, yelling for two hours," Zhou said.
"I had to share my location with my team, my parents, and Disney colleagues in case something happened to me. I locked myself in a room to stay safe, praying he wouldn’t come in at night because he was so angry. I was terrified for my life."
Zhou reported that the incident took place during a meeting at Renner’s home. She claimed that the actor threatened to call immigration authorities after their relationship deteriorated. The accusations surfaced publicly after Zhou detailed her experiences on social media earlier in the week.
As of now, Jeremy Renner has not made a formal public statement addressing these allegations.
