Weather maps indicate that parts of the UK will experience significant snowfall as freezing temperatures approach in the coming days. After an unusually mild week in the south, November is expected to turn much colder.
Forecasters at WX Charts have highlighted areas in England, Scotland, and Wales where snow is likely to fall, showing patches of purple, white, and blue on their maps—signs of incoming colder conditions.
The regions most affected will be north-west England, North Wales, and much of Scotland, with the Scottish Highlands potentially bearing the heaviest snowfall.
"Parts of the Scottish Highlands could see a huge 56cm of snowfall, according to WX Charts."
The Met Office's long-range forecast suggests that colder conditions may persist and possibly intensify in the second half of November.
A sharp cold spell will bring heavy snow to Scotland, north-west England, and North Wales mid-November, with some areas forecast to see up to 56cm.
