They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
This Remembrance Sunday (9 November), services and parades across Angus will take place along with the laying of wreaths to honor all who gave their lives defending our freedoms.
If you have not yet planned to attend and are able, please consider spending a short time joining your community in paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
If you cannot attend, take a moment during the day to quietly reflect alone or with family and friends to remember the fallen.
Tuesday marks Armistice Day, giving us another chance to show respect. At 11 a.m., wherever you are, pause for two minutes of silence to honor the selflessness and bravery of our Armed Services.
“We must and will remember them.”
We also extend our gratitude to the service men and women who continue to serve our country both near and far. As they protect us, we stand with them.
Recent years have been marked by uncertain times, with the harsh realities of war shared widely through various media.
This message reminds us to solemnly honor the sacrifices made by service members through communal gatherings, moments of reflection, and silent tribute on Remembrance and Armistice Days.
