Glenn Clifton Jr., widely known as Young Bleed, was recognized for his hit single "How You Do Dat" and his connection to the rap label No Limit Records. He performed at the Cash Money - No Limit Verzuz concert in Las Vegas on October 25th. Shortly after, he was hospitalized following a collapse.
According to his mother, Florida Allen, Clifton suffered a brain aneurysm that led to cardiac arrest. She explained:
“Before they could get to him, he was out of oxygen for a while, and that's when they told us that he had no life in the brain.”
Young Bleed passed away on November 1st at the age of 51, survived by his mother and five children. His son, Ty'Gee Clifton, shared his disbelief:
“Nobody ever expected him to, you know, not come home; he's never not done that.”
His family noted that prior to this incident, he had no significant health problems except for high blood pressure. Florida Allen expressed her feelings about his passing:
“I'm going to miss him, I'm not mad because he is gone, he left doing what he loved doing.”
Clifton began his rap career in Baton Rouge as part of the hip-hop group "Concentration Camp," formed in 1995.
