Louis Rees-Zammit is set to make his long-awaited return to international rugby after more than two years away.
Argentina head coach Felipe Contepomi described their recent schedule as challenging ahead of their match against Wales in Cardiff.
“It has been a challenge because many of our guys came through the Rugby Championship, went straight into club rugby, had a camp with us, went back to their clubs and now play this weekend,” Contepomi said ahead of Sunday’s clash at Principality Stadium.
He added:
“But we won’t use that as an excuse. We had some injuries but we are happy with the whole group that we have here.
“I would be very confident with playing any of the 32 that are training with us.”
Former Wales coach Warren Gatland is reportedly preparing to return to international rugby ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
According to Rugby site Ruck, Gatland will take up an advisory role with the Uruguayan national team before and during the tournament.
The 62-year-old previously held a similar role with club side Peñarol Rugby earlier this year after leaving Wales midway through the last Six Nations campaign.
Wales have four autumn international matches this month, all played in Cardiff:
Tickets are still available for the test match against the All Blacks.
