Ecorobotix, a Swiss company, has raised $150 million across Series C and D rounds to support its AI software for precision spraying of crops.
The company is known for its ARA "smart" spraying systems, which use computer vision and robotics to apply pesticides and crop protection products precisely.
The Plant-by-Plant system can distinguish each individual plant in the field and treat them using a spray footprint of just a few centimeters.
This technology potentially allows growers to save on input costs and reduce chemical dependency, according to Ecorobotix CEO Dominique Mégret.
