All Surviving Israeli Hostages Released by Hamas
Today, Israel saw the return of all 20 living hostages held in Gaza by Hamas, nearly two years after their abduction during the militant group’s October 7, 2023, attacks.
Their release marked the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
The hostages were received by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which transferred them to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Medical personnel immediately began examinations before the freed captives were moved to meet their families.
The releases came in two stages. The first group, including:
