Philip Kwabena Agyeman Appiah-Kubi, known as Roman Fada and former manager of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has denied distributing funeral invitations on behalf of the musician’s family.
In an interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Kofi TV, Roman Fada called the accusations false and emphasized that anyone familiar with him would know he would never engage in such actions.
Roman Fada explained that Victor Kofi Owusu Banahene, the head of Daddy Lumba’s family, along with the funeral committee, had not yet printed any official invitation cards.
He further clarified that his recent visit to Kumasi, where he was accused of inviting Opambour to the funeral, was unrelated to any funeral arrangements and was connected to his political involvement with the Ghana Freedom Party.
“I am making it clear that I have not visited people to share invitations for Daddy Lumba’s funeral. Anyone who has received any invitation should come and speak out publicly,” he said.
