This relationship is shaped by a genuine royal friendship and a shared commitment to excellence.

Monaco Tribune Interview: Current Relations Between Monaco and the UK

Evelyne Genta: Our relations function on two complementary levels. The first is the princely and royal dimension, which is absolutely vital. King Charles III and Prince Albert II have maintained an authentic friendship spanning several decades. Their initial meeting revolved around their shared dedication to environmental causes, back when such issues attracted far less attention than today.

Their mutual passion created a strong bond that surpasses formal diplomatic protocol.

Our interactions extend beyond major official events. For example, we hosted Prince Edward and his wife in Monaco on October 12, and Prince William visited last June for the Blue Economy and Finance Forum. Furthermore, plans are underway for the King’s Troop to participate in Monaco’s National Day celebrations in 2027, which is a great honor and a meaningful symbol for the sizable British community living in Monaco.
