The Miami-area home of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra caught fire shortly after the team returned from a road trip. Early Thursday morning, a two-alarm fire erupted at Spoelstra’s multi-million dollar residence, according to Milena Malaver, Carl Juste, and David Neal from the Miami Herald.
The Heat and Spoelstra arrived on a chartered flight from Denver at 5 a.m. ET, about 25 minutes after firefighters were dispatched to the Miami-Dade property.
The house, situated on a 43,000-square-foot lot, was sold for $6.6 million in 2023. Firefighters fought the blaze for over four hours at the five-bedroom home, which features a pool and tennis courts. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
