BBC's Shuffling Lineup

Out goes Celebrity Traitors and in comes Celebrity Race Across the World, both airing on BBC One on Thursday. While Celebrity Traitors featured celebrities familiar to viewers, the new show leaves audiences guessing about many contestants. The BBC seems to be applying a strict one-in, one-out casting strategy.

Shetland Season 10 Returns

The reliable crime drama Shetland aired its 10th series on Wednesday. Detectives Tosh and Calder (played by Alison O’Donnell and Ashley Jensen) are alerted to a fishing boat suspected of carrying drugs. Before they can conclude that case, a call reports a dead body in the village of Lunnswick.

“Retired social worker Eadie Tulloch was found tethered to a post outside her house for days. Inside, everything remained undisturbed. It was as if, said Calder, she was led out meekly, like an animal to slaughter.”

Adding intrigue, new fiscal Matt (Samuel Anderson) arrives in town. Ambitious yet vulnerable, he inadvertently reveals struggles in his long-distance relationship with his girlfriend in Edinburgh.

Other Notable Programs
