Victorian Team Secures Place in Scania’s ‘Top Team’ Asian Regional Finals

A team from Scania’s company-owned Dandenong Branch has claimed victory in Australia’s National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. Their success earns them a spot in the Asian Regional finals, which will take place in Bangkok in early 2026. The ultimate goal is to win one of the two available positions in the World Finals in Sweden.

National and Regional Competition

Seven teams from Scania’s Australian company-owned branches competed in the National Finals after a knockout stage that involved eight additional teams from across the country. The event brought together the most skilled service teams in the network to showcase technical precision and teamwork.

Scania’s Global Initiative

“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,”

explained Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia. He supervised the competition, which was hosted at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.

Team Dandenong’s Path to Victory

Under the leadership of team captain Chris Chilver, Team Dandenong once again proved their skill and resilience. This was the fourth National Final in which Chilver has competed, and he described it as the most demanding yet.

“We had strong team spirit; even when one station didn’t go as planned, we kept our focus for the next. It was clear from the start that this year would be challenging, so we stayed disciplined and played to each member’s strengths,”

said Chilver, highlighting their determination and coordination as key factors in their success.
