Exposing Rape and Abuse in Idaho's Prison System
InvestigateWest has launched a series called "Guarded by Predators" to shed light on rape and abuse by Idaho's prison guards and the system that shields them.
In a disturbing incident, a woman imprisoned at South Idaho Correctional Institution was taken to a medical clinic by a guard named Ricardo Quiroz, also known as "Corporal Q". After the procedure, Quiroz allegedly told the woman to go to the back of the van and take off her pants.
The woman, who wished to be referred to by her middle name, Lynn, reported that Quiroz followed her to the back of the van and made the inappropriate request while she was still in pain and bleeding from the procedure.
