The Biden administration imposed a record number of new regulations on airlines over four years, with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg nearly tripling transportation-related rules.
Despite this, there is no evidence that the added regulations improved safety or reduced flight delays.
The Biden-Buttigieg philosophy was that airlines were ripping off passengers and gobbling up profits.

Under Secretary Sean Duffy, the Trump administration is pursuing airline deregulation, aiming to improve service and lower costs.
