Lakeside Rallies in Second Half to Upend Tigers
The Lakeside-Evans Panthers celebrated their first win of the season in their finale, defeating the Bradwell Institute Tigers 38-21 at Olvey Field on Friday night.
The Panthers scored the final 28 points of the game, overcoming a 21-10 deficit in the second quarter. Bradwell's Jahbarri Felix had hit Jacobi Pasley for a 49-yard touchdown strike earlier in the game.
- Lakeside held the Tigers to just two first downs over the first 22 minutes of the second half.
- The Panthers' touchdown runback of the second half kickoff was called back, but they scored soon after with a 65-yard drive.
- Quarterback John Allen Williamson scored the final yard on a quarterback sneak.
With the loss, Bradwell fell to 2-6 on the year and 2-5 in Region 1-AAAAA, while Lakeside finished 1-9 and 1-7 in the region.
