Landslide in Kerala's Adimali
A man died and his wife was critically injured after a landslide buried their home in Adimali, Kerala's Idukki district.
The deceased, Biju, and his wife Sandhya were trapped inside when a portion of the hill behind their house caved in around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A 7-hour rescue operation by emergency teams and local residents saved Sandhya, but Biju was killed in the disaster.
The mudslide struck with such force that it completely buried the couple's house, leaving them pinned under concrete debris.
