University of South Carolina's Board of Trustees Meeting
The University of South Carolina's board of trustees met on October 24 to discuss university development projects, finances, and review the 2025 fiscal year audit.
The meeting covered updates on property acquisition, including the purchase of a stretch of property near the Horseshoe and the addition of dozens of new parking spaces.
Awards Presentation
Following the meeting, the South Carolina Alumni Association presented awards to six notable alumni during a luncheon.
- Five university alumni were recognized for their achievements.
- Two honorary alumni were also awarded.
The University Foundation President and CEO, Jason Caskey, announced that Gateway 737 had leased 95% of its 938 beds for fall 2026.
