A Moray resident, Peter Hoyle, has reported the fourth possible sighting of the Loch Ness Monster in 2025.
According to the Official Loch Ness Sightings Register, Mr Hoyle saw a "dark shape sticking out of water, moving from right side of loch to left from the middle" on October 15.
He said it disappeared before reaching shore and was moving fairly quickly but not speed boat speed.
The sighting lasted for 20-30 seconds at 1:30pm. This incident brings the total number of official sightings in 2025 to four, surpassing the three recorded in 2024.
The number of sightings is still lower than the 11 noted in 2023.
