‘One bad employer’ blamed for ‘inadequate’ Ofsted result

Ofsted Inspection Result: 'Inadequate' Grade for White Point Solutions

A specialist security training provider, White Point Solutions, has been given the lowest overall inspection grade of 'inadequate' by Ofsted. The inspection, which took place in early July, examined the training of 25 apprentices on level 2 and 3 security service standards.

Inspectors found that few apprentices were released from work for off-the-job training. The provider has blamed the behaviour of "one bad employer" for the poor result.

Stuart Catton, a director at the provider, stated that Ofsted "insisted" on pushing ahead with the inspection despite the CEO and head of quality being out of the country.

The inspection had to be postponed initially. White Point Solutions began publicly funded apprenticeship training in January 2024 and this was its first full inspection.

Author's summary: White Point Solutions receives 'inadequate' Ofsted grade.
