Grokipedia Launch and Controversy
Elon Musk's Grokipedia, a rival to Wikipedia, had a turbulent debut, briefly crashing before coming back online with over 885,000 articles.
Musk has criticized Wikipedia for alleged bias, stating that Grokipedia will be
a massive improvement over Wikipediaand a
necessary step towards the xAI goal of understanding the Universe.
However, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales has called Musk's claims
factually incorrect.
The launch has been marred by controversy over the provenance of its content, with some entries being nearly identical to their Wikipedia counterparts.
