Remembrance Day at Bruce County Museum
Historian and author Ted Barris will mark Remembrance Day at Bruce County Museum on November 8.
The event celebrates the 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, where Canadian airmen made significant contributions during the Second World War.
Ted Barris will highlight the extraordinary bravery of Canadian flyers who helped defend England during 113 harrowing days in 1940.
- Canadians served in forty-seven squadrons.
- Twenty pilots were lost in action.
- Twelve received the Distinguished Flying Cross for their courage.
