Nathan McSweeney has scored his first Sheffield Shield century for South Australia, giving his team hope of a win against Western Australia.
McSweeney's 103, alongside Henry Hunt's 84, helped South Australia reach 4-297 at stumps on day three, leading WA by 205.
McSweeney has been solid without being spectacular after being dropped following his third Test in December.
He was thrown into the deep end last summer, opening against India, and has now found his form again.
South Australia is eying off the chance of setting a fourth-innings target at the WACA on Friday.
