Proposed EU Amendment to EUDR Meets with Resistance
The EU Environment Commissioner Jessika Rosswall's proposal to defer the start of application of the European Union Regulation on deforestation-free products (EUDR) has been met with resistance.
Originally scheduled for 30 December 2025, the EU Commission now wants to retain this date for large and mid-sized companies, contrary to the proposed amendment.
The EU Commission's decision has been made despite the proposal submitted by EU Environment Commissioner Jessika Rosswall just four weeks ago.
