Pensievision Wins Luminate NY Competition
Pensievision has been named the winner of the Luminate NY OPI Accelerator competition, securing $1 million in investment.
The company, which has developed a 3D imaging approach for various environments, will use the funding to anchor its growth in the region.
The company said it would use the follow-on funding “to anchor its growth in the region by engaging with local supply chains, hiring engineering talent from area universities, and partnering with Rochester-based design and manufacturing firms”.
Four other companies also received follow-on funding, and Pensievision was awarded “Company of the Year” at the Luminate Finals 2025.
Luminate NY, administered by NextCorps, is the world’s largest business accelerator for emerging companies with technologies enabled by optics, photonics, and imaging.
Pensievision’s technology has applications in medical diagnostics, factory floors, and orbital missions.
