Revolution in the Lighting Industry
A team of scientists has developed an LED lamp as thin as a sheet of paper that shines as brightly as the star orbiting the center of the Milky Way.
The new device, dubbed QLED, uses tiny semiconductor particles called 'quantum dots' that are capable of transforming electrical energy into light of different colors.
The finding, published in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, represents a revolutionary breakthrough in the lighting industry.
Unlike traditional light bulbs, which tend to generate harsher, more artificial lighting with an excess of blue tones, this technology reproduces the solar spectrum almost perfectly, offering a warm and natural light.
