SOU Percussion Ensemble Launches Eclectic Playlist for 2025-26 Season
Southern Oregon University’s Percussion Ensemble offers a unique musical experience, open to any interested student at SOU.
The ensemble, also known as SOUPE, aims to expose its members to a diverse range of musical styles and cultures from around the world. This includes learning to play instruments not commonly found in popular American music.
- Meetings are held once a week to develop percussion skills
- Preparation for upcoming performances and recording opportunities
- Students of all experience levels are welcome, with some musical experience preferred
- Instrumentalists from other disciplines also participate in the ensemble
The ensemble is like a weekly beat-down in the Music Building.
