Dozens of pairs of shoes were laid outside Hampshire County Council's headquarters to symbolize children who have been "let down" by the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system.
A mother of three, Francesca, from Whiteley, shared her experience of fighting for appropriate education for her two youngest daughters, aged five and four, who are both autistic.
Her middle daughter was refused an Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment, a necessary step to obtain an EHCP, by Hampshire County Council (HCC).
The protest aimed to raise awareness of the growing crisis in support for children with additional needs and took place simultaneously across England.
