The EVERY Co Raises $55m to Scale Egg Proteins
The EVERY Co has raised $55 million in its Series D round to scale egg proteins via fermentation, marking a shift "from promise to proof."
According to The EVERY Co, buyers are motivated by basic economics, rather than just ethical and environmental arguments, to make eggs without chickens.
- The round was led by McWin Capital Partners.
- Participating investors include Main Sequence, Bloom8, TO.VC, Minerva Foods, Grosvenor Food & AgTech, New Agrarian, and SOSV.
"We had a target of raising $50 million and ended up closing in on $55 million," said founder and CEO Arturo Elizondo.
The funding will help EVERY expand manufacturing capacity and move to profitability, with products featuring its proteins set to roll out across the US at Walmart.
