China's Coal Imports Reach 9-Month High
China's coal imports surged to their highest level in 2025 in September due to decreased domestic production and rising local prices.
The country imported 46 million tons of coal in September, the highest level this year, according to the General Administration of Customs.
China is the world's top coal consumer.
