Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo suffered a left foot injury early in the game during the Heat’s 122-112 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Adebayo exited with 3:48 remaining in the first quarter after injuring his foot during a transition play.
He finished with two points and one rebound on 1-of-5 shooting in eight minutes of action. After the game, the 28-year-old provided an update:
“I felt a pain in my foot so I took it upon myself to check myself out and go see what happened… We’ll get more tests tomorrow and see how it goes.”
Without Adebayo, Miami’s frontcourt depth was severely tested. Kel’el Ware became the only available center, while Keshad Johnson and Nikola Jovic offered limited support. Previous rotation member Precious Achiuwa is now with the Sacramento Kings, and Vlad Goldin remains in the G League.
The Heat struggled to match Denver’s size advantage. Nikola Jokic delivered a dominant performance with a triple-double of 33 points, 15 rebounds, and 16 assists in 37 minutes, shooting 12-of-18 from the field and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc.
The loss highlighted Miami’s challenges without Adebayo, especially against a physically imposing team like Denver.
Bam Adebayo’s early foot injury further exposed Miami Heat’s limited frontcourt depth, contributing significantly to their defeat against Denver’s dominant Nuggets.
