LeBron James has not yet played in his record 23rd NBA season. The 40-year-old star missed the game against the San Antonio Spurs and is expected to remain sidelined for a few weeks due to a nagging sciatica injury that appeared last month.
Addressing concerns, Lakers head coach JJ Redick commented:
"This thing has to progress with all of his return-to-play protocols. We don't have a target date, but hopefully, he's checked all the boxes and will be back sometime in the second or third week in November."
LeBron might return against the Utah Jazz on November 18, at home, which would mark a significant milestone as he aims to become the first NBA player to compete in 23 seasons.
LeBron James, recovering from a sciatica injury, aims to return in mid-November, potentially playing his 23rd NBA season opener, after limited workouts and ongoing rehabilitation.
