“There’s no way that that was not going to be a part of my story.”

Now 38 years old and having spent a decade away from music, Hilary feels prepared to reconnect with her audience. She noted the importance of sharing her current self: “I feel ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now.”

Connection with Fans

She reflected on the close bond she has maintained with fans who have followed her since childhood. “We’ve been through many of the same experiences — complicated relationships, anxiety, raising children, divorces, discovering ourselves as adults, and family struggles,” Duff explained.

“Finally I felt safe enough and comfortable in my own family to step outside and open that part of myself up again.”

This renewed safety and comfort in her personal life have allowed her to express herself more openly through her music once again.

Summary

Hilary Duff embraces her musical comeback as a natural continuation of her life journey, eager to reconnect with fans through honest and timely expression.
