Toronto has achieved a major sustainability milestone by activating its 500th public electric vehicle (EV) charger, improving access for both residents and visitors seeking cleaner transportation options.
The Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) and Toronto Hydro jointly announced the launch of this charger, located at Green P Carpark 504 on Willingdon Blvd. This station joins Canada’s largest municipally owned EV charging network, simplifying electric travel across the city.
Both organizations continue to expand Toronto’s EV infrastructure through close collaboration. TPA oversees the operation and management of the growing network, while Toronto Hydro powers the city’s transition toward a sustainable, electrified future.
Since installing its first EV charger in 2020, Toronto Hydro has played an essential role in the city’s rapid growth of clean mobility infrastructure. In 2025 alone, the utility plans to connect over 4,000 EV charging stations in homes and other properties to guarantee reliable and accessible charging options.
“Our mission is clear: to create a seamless mobility experience that delivers on Choice, Ease, and Speed for our customers. Purposeful expansion of our EV network is a catalyst for EV adoption across Toronto by creating accessible, reliable, and trusted charging solutions for city residents.”
