The iconic reality series Big Brother Australia is making a comeback on Channel 10 in 2025. The show's host, Mel Tracina, recently shared some insights on what fans can expect from the new season.
Although the contestant list remains confidential and subject to change, Mel revealed the age range spans "across five decades." The cast will include a variety of people such as a grandmother, a single mother, a barber, and a self-described bogan.
Mel also highlighted the cast's diversity, stating:
“We have blue-collar workers and white-collar workers. We have a diverse range.”
According to Mel Tracina, Big Brother Australia stands out because participants don’t need to meet specific physical, mental, or relationship criteria, unlike other reality shows.
“You don’t need to be physically or mentally strong, like you would [on] Survivor. You don’t need to be single, like you would on MAFS.”
The 2025 return of Big Brother Australia promises a fresh season with a widely diverse cast and a unique format that welcomes contestants from all walks of life.
