The first footage for Avengers: Doomsday is expected to premiere in theaters this December alongside another major Disney release.
Although the movie itself won't hit theaters until December 18, 2026, fans are likely to see a teaser much sooner. According to multiple sources, the initial preview will accompany Avatar: Fire and Ash, the latest installment in Disney's blockbuster franchise. This trailer is scheduled to appear on December 19, 2025, providing an early glimpse at Robert Downey Jr.’s titanium-masked supervillain.
The timing aligns closely with James Cameron's third Avatar film release, which is nearly a full year before the launch of Doomsday. Alongside this, 2025 also sees the premieres of Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, setting the stage for the new Avengers event.
Marvel has stirred excitement by unveiling chairs for the cast of this blockbuster event earlier this year, revealing surprising returns, including many from the 20th Century Fox X-Men universe. Despite this, details regarding the crossover remain tightly guarded, even from the actors involved.
Alan Cumming, returning as Nightcrawler, remarked that he started filming before the script was completed.
Avengers: Doomsday teaser will debut in December 2025 with Avatar: Fire and Ash, building anticipation ahead of the film's 2026 release while keeping key plot details under wraps.
