Paul “Bomber” Campbell passed away suddenly on October 29, 2025, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro after several months of declining health. Born in Truro, he was the son of Laura Mary (Finley) and Everett Malcolm Campbell.
After losing his parents at the age of eight, Bomber went to live with his Aunt Grace, Uncle John, and brother Bill.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Joan (VanIderstine) and his brother Bobby.
Bomber enjoyed golfing, curling, bowling, and hunting as long as his health permitted. His sons, nephews, and their friends recall many stories from Tangier fishing trips, where he fearlessly guided teenagers through unpredictable weather and canoeing challenges.
He was an avid reader and could often be found with a book in hand. A passionate sports fan, Bomber never missed a chance to cheer for his favorite teams, especially when watching Rachel Homan and the Toronto Blue Jays.
