Elden Ring: Nightreign became a surprise hit earlier this year. Developer FromSoftware transformed the Elden Ring formula of challenging combat and dark fantasy into a fast-paced online multiplayer rogue-like experience. Next month, the game will receive its first official DLC, announced during Tuesday's State of Play, and launching in December.
The upcoming DLC, Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows, expands the online spinoff game with additional playable classes, bosses, and new content. This update comes at an ideal moment for players seeking fresh challenges after numerous matches.
Described as "an academic who walks the Lands Between," the Scholar has "impressive arcane levels," enabling them to inflict heavy bleed damage on enemies since arcane is the main stat for that effect. The Scholar also benefits from "incredible advantages through battlefield observation," likely a unique special ability, though its exact nature is not yet revealed.
The Undertaker is "an abbess who was mandated to slay the Nightlord," adding a dark and purposeful character to the roster of Nightfarer classes.
