Voting has opened to save housemates ahead of the Big Brother final. Derry’s Jenny Baird narrowly missed out on a golden ticket to the final, losing to her close friend Cameron.
Jenny and Cameron reached the final two, where they were questioned by fellow housemates. Ultimately, Cameron was awarded the golden ticket.
In Tuesday night’s episode, Big Brother addressed the housemates:
“In the glass case before you sits one of Big Brother’s most valuable prizes, ‘A Pass to the Final'. Today, you will compete against each other in a series of rounds, and one of you will walk away with this coveted prize.”
Big Brother explained the rules for voting on the housemates’ impact:
“To be a true Big Brother Finalist, you can’t just survive your time in the House; you have to have made an impact. In front of you are two bowls of white and red eyes. White eyeballs should be awarded to Housemates you feel have made the most positive impact on the House. Red eyeballs should be awarded to Housemates you feel have had the most negative impact.”
Big Brother emphasized that making any impact, whether good or bad, is better than having no impact at all in the house.
This voting system highlights that influence in the Big Brother house, positive or negative, determines who advances to the final.
