The Salvation Army in Rochester is accepting winter gear donations during the "More than a Coat" drive.
Donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army Corps Community Center, located at 20 1st Ave.
“Of course, a winter coat is a very basic need, but those are the two things we run out of every year,”
said community engagement director Rebecca Snapp, highlighting that winter boots and gloves are the most needed items.
Donations will likely be accepted until 3 p.m. and distribution is scheduled for people in need on Wednesday and Thursday.
Those in need can call the Salvation Army’s social services line at (507) 288-3663 for more information.
