Kamala Harris on whether Israel committed genocide: ‘We should all step back and ask this question’ - Jewish Telegraphic Agency

Kamala Harris on Israel's Actions in Gaza

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has faced protests from pro-Palestinian groups during her book tour.

When asked if Israel's actions in Gaza constitute "genocide", Harris replied:

"Listen, it is a term of law that a court will decide. But I will tell you that when you look at the number of children that have been killed, the number of innocent civilians that have been killed, the refusal to give aid and support, we should all step back and ask this question and be honest about it, yeah."

Harris was interviewed on MSNBC's "The Weekend" by correspondent Eugene Daniels.

Several lawmakers, including Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative from Georgia, have also weighed in on the issue.

Author's summary: Kamala Harris questions Israel's actions.
