Changes to Off-Peak Hours in France
Off-peak hours in France will change starting from November 1, 2025, affecting around 11 million households until the end of 2027.
This change aims to accommodate renewable electricity production with a new split between night and day.
- The reform is implemented by Enedis and the Commission de Régulation de l'Energie (CRE).
- It particularly concerns Ile-de-France residents and Parisians with the Peak/Off-peak option in their electricity contract.
At present, off-peak hours may be early in the morning, between 7am and 11am, or in the early evening, between 5pm and 11pm.
The Paris ADIL helps Parisians understand these changes, which may modify their time slots in the coming months.
