European Film Academy Unveils Shortlist for 2026 European Film Awards
The European Film Academy has shortlisted 67 feature-length films for a possible nomination for the European Film Awards, taking place on January 17 in Berlin.
The shortlist includes 44 feature films, 15 documentary films, and eight animated feature films, featuring high-profile titles such as:
- Jafar Panahi’s Palme d’Or winner It Was Just An Accident
- Joachim Trier’s Cannes Grand Prix winner Sentimental Value
- Berlin Golden Bear winner Dreams by Dag Johan Haugerud
- Venice grand jury prize winner The Voice Of Hind Rajab by Kaouther Ben Hania
The shortlist also brings together festival favourites, including Loveable by Lilja Ingolfsdottir, Bugonia by Yorgos Lanthimos, and Father by Tereza Nvotová.
The European Film Awards will take place on January 17 in Berlin.
