Woman Accused of Delivering Fetus in a Cooler

A Virginia woman, Makayla Haedt, 29, is accused of putting her miscarried fetus in a cooler and delivering it to the child's father in Missouri.

Haedt has been charged with first-degree harassment. The incident occurred on September 18, when deputies were called to a house for a report of a fetus in a cooler.

According to court documents, Haedt had been in an on-and-off romantic relationship with the man for several years. The man claimed that Haedt was a "habitual liar", which caused him to doubt her pregnancy claim.

On September 17, Haedt messaged the man saying she had suffered a miscarriage, but provided no additional details. Later that evening, she picked him up to run errands together.
