Garden Court chambers has defended its immigration barristers, describing them as "among the best in the country", after they were criticized by shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick MP.
Jenrick has led a campaign to highlight what he calls "activist" judges, naming two who he believes should not hear immigration cases, including Mark Symes, a part-time upper tribunal judge and Garden Court barrister with 25 years' experience.
